New Decree on Private Public Partnership Investment

Decree 15/2015 on private public partnership (PPP) investment was issued in February 2015 and will take effect from April 2015. Decree 15/2015 will replace the current regulations on, among other things, BOT and BT investment (Decree 108/2009) and the ad-hoc regulations on PPP investment (Decision 71/2010). Net neutrality in Vietnam

Net neutrality became a hot topic after the F.C.C approved net neutrality in the US earlier this week. It may be interesting to look at the situation of net neutrality in Vietnam. There is no clear or specific provision in Vietnamese law which requires an internet service provider to treat all contents transferred by its network equally and not to hinder or slow down applications and services on the internet. Registration of securities issued by public companies

The Securities Law 2006 requires any securities issued by a public company to be registered with the Vietnam Securities Depository Centre (VSD). The term “securities” includes, among other things, shares, bonds, warrants, options, future, and “investment contracts”. The registration at VSD is to record the ownership rights and other rights of the securities holders.
